Depuis mi-juillet, un mouvement social a vu le jour en Tha\u00eflande, le plus massif organis\u00e9 depuis celui sur le coup d’\u00c9tat de 2014. Le mouvement est impuls\u00e9 en r\u00e9action \u00e0 une loi dite de \u201cl\u00e8se-majest\u00e9\u201d et revendique son abrogation. Cette derni\u00e8re sanctionne de 3 \u00e0 15 ans d\u2019emprisonnement toute diffamation ou insulte envers le monarque et sa famille. Il demande aussi davantage de transparence dans les finances de la monarchie et la non-ing\u00e9rence du souverain dans les affaires politiques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

L\u2019une des autres causes de la mobilisation est la crise \u00e9conomique actuelle li\u00e9e \u00e0 la crise sanitaire. Nombreux ont perdu leur emploi et la crise a mis en lumi\u00e8re les in\u00e9galit\u00e9s. Afin de contrer les mobilisations prod\u00e9mocratie et ainsi justifier la r\u00e9pression, un \u00e9tat d\u2019urgence a \u00e9t\u00e9 mis en place. C\u2019est donc contre un r\u00e9gime autoritaire et qui maintient les int\u00e9r\u00eats de l’imp\u00e9rialisme que les tha\u00eflandais-es se mobilisent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le 10 ao\u00fbt, un appel \u00e0 la mobilisation \u00e9tudiante s\u2019est lanc\u00e9, r\u00e9unissant plus de 4 000 \u00e9tudiant-e-s. Ces dernier-e-s ont \u00e9tabli 10 revendications, dont le fait de couper toute propagande royaliste, supprimer le privil\u00e8ge d\u2019immunit\u00e9 juridique du roi, mais aussi des revendications g\u00e9n\u00e9rales comme la r\u00e9\u00e9criture de la constitution ou encore la d\u00e9mission du gouvernement. Cela a donn\u00e9 un nouveau souffle dans le mouvement en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, qui a r\u00e9uni plus de 10 000 \u00e9tudiant-e-s manifestants \u00e0 Bangkok, plus grande manifestation de septembre selon la police locale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le mouvement prenant de l\u2019ampleur, la r\u00e9pression s\u2019est renforc\u00e9e. Depuis mi-ao\u00fbt, les leaders \u00e9tudiant-e-s se faisaient arr\u00eater et poursuivre. La date du 15 octobre a \u00e9t\u00e9 l\u2019occasion d\u2019une manifestation avec beaucoup de r\u00e9pression, dont arrestations, canons \u00e0 eau ou encore gaz color\u00e9s afin de ficher les personnes mobilis\u00e9es. Les manifestations se sont donc massifi\u00e9es et ont encore lieu de mani\u00e8re quasi-quotidienne. Alors qu\u2019une r\u00e9forme de la constitution devait se faire ces 17 et 18 novembre, plusieurs affrontements entre \u00e9tudiant-e-s mobilis\u00e9-e-s et ultraroyalistes ont eu lieu ; on compte une cinquantaine de bless\u00e9-e-s dont 6 par balles parmi les \u00e9tudiant-e-s, m\u00eame si l\u2019on ne sait pas si les armes \u00e0 feu ont \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9es par la police ou par les ultraroyalistes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La F\u00e9d\u00e9ration syndicale \u00e9tudiante trouve donc important d\u2019apporter son soutien aux \u00e9tudiant-e-s tha\u00eflandais-es ainsi qu\u2019au syndicat \u00e9tudiant organisant ces mobilisations pro d\u00e9mocratie. Notre soutien se fait \u00e9galement dans le cadre de la lutte contre les forces imp\u00e9rialistes et fascistes, ainsi que contre la r\u00e9pression politique et polici\u00e8re<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since mid-July, a social movement has emerged in Thailand, the most massive organized since the coup d’\u00e9tat of 2014. The movement is impulsed in reaction to a law known as the \u00ab\u00a0lese-majesty\u00a0\u00bb law and demands its repeal. The latter punishes any slander or insult against the monarch and his family from 3 to 15 years in prison. The movement also calls for greater transparency in the monarchy’s finances and non-interference by the sovereign in political affairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the other causes of the mobilization is the current economic crisis linked to the health crisis. Many have lost their jobs and the crisis has highlighted inequalities. In order to counter the pro-democratic mobilizations and thus justify repression, a state of emergency has been put in place. It is thus against an authoritarian government that maintains the interests of imperialism that the Thai people are mobilizing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the 10h of August, a call for student mobilization was made, gathering more than 4000 students. They set out 10 demands, including cutting off all royalist propaganda, abolishing the king\u2019s privilege of legal immunity, but also general demands such as rewriting the constitution or the resignation of the government. This gave a new impetus to the movement in general, which reunited more than 10 000 students demonstrators in Bangkok, the largest protest of September according to local police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The repression was reinforced as the movement grew in magnitude. Since mid-August, the student leaders have been arrested and prosecuted. The date of October 15 was the occasion of a demonstration with a lot of repression, including arrests, water cannons or even colored gas in order to keep the mobilized people on file. Protests have thus massified and still take place almost daily. While a reform of the Constitution was supposed to take place on November 17 and 18, several clashes between mobilized students and ultra-royalists occurred; about 50 students were injured, 6 of them were shot, although it is not known whether the guns were used by the police or by the ultra-royalists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The french Student Union Federation (FSE) therefore finds it important to show its support to Thai students and to the student union organizing these pro-democracy mobilizations.
